Winning Parents!

The parents are expected to support and encourage the children, principally by their presence at the games. It is important that the players know that their families are present. Parents are to realize that it is the coach who is to give instructions to the players.

While at the games, parents are responsible:

• To see that younger children do not interfere with the games.
• Provide support and encouragement for the team that their child plays on in addition to their child.
• To refrain from abusive behavior towards refs and/or other teams. Such behavior will not be tolerated.

It is essential that parents recognize that their responsibility begins but does not end at registration. Parents must also recognize that their children’s first obligations are to their home and to their school work. Sports programs should never interfere with the home or school.
